my morning self love practice

starting my mornings with self love sets me up to be my most connected, lightest , happiest self throughout the day

morning self love practice

ever since i started teaching my own classes i liked ending the classes with a moment of gratitude for oneself

it sort of happened intuitively and has since become something that i never stray away from

i encourage my students to keep their eyes closed, feel that feeling of love, pride, gratitude and thanks for themselves and then once you’ve got that, breathe into it

once they’re able to breathe into that feeling, i invite them to see if they can expand it through the breath

expand it through their whole bodies, from the top of their heads to their tippie toes

it’s so easy to hang onto those negative feelings, when are we given the opportunity to be able to sit with positive ones for ourselves?

along the way, this became apart of my own morning routine too

sometimes it includes holding my favorite crystal in my hand, my warm morning drink, with incense burning, or maybe even holding myself. even saying a few affirmations to myself too

love is accessible to me in every moment—i trust myself—love infuses every cell of my body—i radiate love

i’ve done everything from meditation, breath work, somatic movement, yoga, running, gym, boxing, reading, journalling and i’ve found that this practice for me sets me off on the right foot every time

it just shows time and time again that everything we need is always inside of us

how can we expect to connect and have love for others, if we haven’t given it to ourselves first?
